General FAQs
How does the CashValue Card Loyalty Program work?
Every time a Cardholder shops at a CashValue Card Participating Business, the Cardholder and their favorite Cause share a Cash Reward. Cardholders can spend their Cash Rewards towards any purchase at any CashValue Card Participating Business.
How is personal information treated?
Personal information is handled with the utmost care, consistent with our strict privacy policy.
Can the Cash Value Card be cancelled?
There is no need to cancel your card. The cards are free and there are no fees for using it. ACI reserves the right to cancel a CashValue Card if the card has been used fraudulently. If a card has not been used for a full year, ACI will deduct a fee of up to $2.00 per month from the balance of the stored cash value on the card. If the card is used after one year of inactivity, the monthly fee stops.

How do I select a Cause?
Each Cardholder selects the Cause of their choice when they register their card online. Cards issued by Causes carry that organization as the initial beneficiary. Cards issued by Participating Businesses carry an initial beneficiary chosen by the business. You can change the beneficiary at any time, as often as you want, as soon as you have registered your card.
Can I incur debt with the card?
No, CashValue Cards can never have a negative balance.
Can children be part of the program?
Yes, any person 10 years or older, may have a CashValue Card.
How long is the program?
The card can be used indefinitely as long as there are Participating Businesses.

How do I protect my Cash Rewards on my CashValue Card from theft or loss?
It is important to register your card. It is the only way CashValue Card is able to protect your Cash Rewards if your card is lost or stolen. The Cash Reward balance, at the time of reporting, will be transferred to a new card minus a $10.00 handling fee. CashValue Card is not responsible for replacing the cash value used by someone other than the Cardholder prior to the time the card is reported missing.

Can our Cause hand out cards?
Yes, you can give cards directly to your Supporters at a Participating Businesses.
Are there financial risks to a beneficiary organization?
None. The Cause receives unrestricted funds without obligations.
How does the Cardholder select a Cause?

How does a beneficiary Cause get paid?
Beneficiary Causes receive a check on a quarterly basis if contributions are $25 or more. If the amount is less, the money will be retained until $25 is accumulated.
Are there costs to a beneficiary Cause?
There are no costs to any participant in the CashValue Card Program. A 15 cent per transaction fee is deducted from each rebate prior to completing the donation.
How does a Cause track their contributions?
All Causes have a secure online account at cashvaluecard.com. The website enables Causes to track the activity of the cards that have chosen them as their Cause.
How much money will our Cause make?
The amount your Cause receives is dependent upon how many Cardholders select your Cause, and how often those Cardholders use their cards. There is no limit to the amount you can earn.
How does our Cause promote the use of the card?
Your organizations can encourage your supporters to shop at Participating Businesses. You may work directly with businesses in the program by issuing cards at their location.
How may our Cause use the contributions?
The funds are unrestricted and may be used in any fashion.
How long is the program?
The program will run indefinitely, as long as Cardholders swipe their cards at Participating Businesses.
